Even though Milan has a long glorious history, the team they assembled in 2009-2010 was, at least on paper, one of the strongest in the club’s history. Players to wear this kit include legends of football such as Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo, Thiago Silva, Gianluca Zambrotta, Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Pippo Inzaghi.

However, the success didn’t translate to the pitch, where Milan ended up as 3rd in the league, without any noticeable results in cups. Alexandre Pato made his mark as a youngster with 14 goals, with only Ronaldinho scoring more, 15. They were knocked out by Ferguson’s Manchester United in the European Cup, with only Seedorf and Ronaldinho scoring in an aggregate that finished 7-2 for United.
